Floyd Godfrey, PMP

National Capitol Region Manager

Mr. Godfrey has 20 years experience in the public and private markets providing management, organizational, and operational support to federal, state and municipal agencies in their efforts to streamline operations and is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP). Mr. Godfrey is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in political science and urban economics who after his formal education joined the US Army where he served in the Signal Corps managing communications and information systems in support of command and control operations and further specialized in cryptology. He has established numerous PMO's for both midsize and small businesses and directed and managed staff of over 300 with annual budgets exceeding $100 million including work with L-3 Communications, J-Quad & Associates, Brown & Associates and the DC Community Action Group. As the NCR Manager Mr. Godfrey oversees FPS security force operations providing administrative and program direction and oversight to supervisory staff and officers. Mr. Godfrey serves as the main PoC in the region and interfaces with Government clients to ensure contract performance and a high quality of service.

  • Be a citizen of the U.S.
  • Possess a Social Security Card issued and approved by the SSA
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess, at a minimum, either a High School diploma or a GED equivalency certificate from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Ed.
  • Have 3 years of security experience in any of the following sectors:
    • Military or National Guard (active duty or reserve)
    • private security
    • local law enforcement (successful completion of a state certified Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) course
  • Speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English, and compose coherent written reports in English

The Hiring Process

Clients seeking safety and security operations from VendTech cannot afford any risk in relation to the personnel who service their facilities. For this reason we employ a number of measures and screening processes to vet any potential security personnel. After completing the appropriate application process, candidates can expect to adhere to a stringent interview process that includes multiple levels. Once these individuals have passed this initial phase of screening they will then be subject to employer generated background investigations, reference checks, and other verifications. Further investigations for federal contract operations may include additional screenings including, NACI, E-Qip, IRP, and other OPM clearance and adjudication processes. If successful you may have the opportunity to join our elite protection forces.

Mr. Whitten oversees corporate recruitment, hiring, retention; professional/career development; certification and credentialing management; employee incentives and disciplinary action programs; collective bargaining negotiations; and responsible for development of company SOP. Mr. Whitten has nine (9) years experience in corporate customer service operations and specialized in philosophy, business (BS) and conflict management and dispute resolution (MA) studies.
